Volunteer your time

We welcome individuals or groups who wish to donate their time as a volunteer.

Volunteering provides individuals with a sense of connection with other like-minded people, improves well-being and expands social connections. Volunteering also benefits the Walkway, and all those who visit throughout the year.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES & HOW TO APPLY

At the Walkway, our volunteers provide a number of essential services:

  1. Our main need relates to Volunteer Guides, who assist with school and other group bookings.
  2. Providing guest services at our commemorative events; or
  3. Assisting with maintaining the Walkway surrounds.

 

Volunteer work is required only when the Walkway office is open (Mon-Fri 10.00am-2.00pm).

Note: Walkway staff will be in touch to discuss your interest. Individuals need to complete mandatory checks etc. before being allowed to commence. Volunteers/groups are matched with a role(s) suitable with their interest/skills and the needs of the Walkway.
