Remembrance Day @ the Walkway

The Walkway held the final 'Beyond the Battlefield' talk for 2023, then held a short Remembrance Day service at the Centrepiece.
On Remembrance Day, the KTMW Board was pleased to hold two activities:
- the final Friends of Kokoda ‘Beyond the Battlefield’ talk for 2023, where Dr David Cameron focussed on the lesser-known, but just as vicious and costly battle at Abuari, east of Isurava in late August 1942.
- a short, informal service at the Memorial Centrepiece. KTMW Board Chair Jennifer Collins AM and Dr David Cameron were the first to lay wreaths. After the minute’s silence, those members of the public present were asked to lay a poppy on the Memorial Centrepiece.
The Board thanks those who attended Dr Cameron’s talk, and those who were at the Centrepiece to observe the 11.00am service.
