Join us @ the Walkway with free events

2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the opening of the first stage of the Walkway in October 1996.

Since that time, the Walkway has grown into a ‘living memorial’, and we want to showcase the versatility of the Walkway as a community hub.

Three free events will be held:

• Orchid and Flower Exhibit: Saturday 1 August 10.00am – 2.30pm
• Art Exhibit: Saturday-Sunday 4-5 September (times to be advised)
• Kokoda Historical Event: Saturday 31 October (4.30pm – 10.00pm)

The events will have a mixture of activities, including exhibits, talks, workshops, mini tours of the Walkway Centrepiece, ‘Kokoda’ movie screening, memorabilia displays,  BBQ, tea+cake, food stalls and quality second hand military history books and DVDs for sale. Further details will be added as they are confirmed for each event.

For some sessions, tickets will be required to be booked through Eventbrite.
