The Walkway welcomes individuals or groups who visit the Walkway.
From time to time the Board hosts visiting individuals or organisations, sometimes with a commemorative or defence background, at the Walkway. On such occasions, a wreath is often laid at the Memorial Centrepiece to honour those who served, or the facilities in the Ralph Honner Kokoda Education Centre are used (see below).
15 March 2023: Reg Chard, our 99 year old Walkway guide and Kokoda veteran, addresses the Police Legacy group of trekkers. This group traditionally visit the Walkway before their journey to walk the actual Track. Reg provided some words of wisdom before they undertake their arduous trek. We wish them well!

17 February 2023: KTMW Board Chair Jennifer Collins AM with Department of Veterans' Affairs commemorations staff Lauren Sham, Leah Ashley and Roy Walker (from Canberra), following their visit to the Walkway where they laid wreaths in honour of those who served.

7 December 2022: Long-time Walkway supporter/guide and Kokoda veteran Reg Chard was presented with a spectacular quilt from the Aussie Hero Quilts (and Laundry Bags) organisation. This day marked the 80th anniversary of the start of the engagement between Australian and Japanese forces at Sanananda.

11 October 2022: Children from Coogee Public School enjoyed a visit to the Walkway. All the pupils who attended have parents serving in the ADF. Coogee RSL Sub-branch members accompanied the students and teachers.
