If you cannot download or hear the oral histories here are some possible solutions.1.) Check that you have a sound card and speakers connected to your computer. If you have a sound card but no speakers you could try plugging a set of headphones into the audio output.
2.) Check that the volume is up high enough to hear, or that it isn't muted. 3.) If you have a sound card and speakers (or headphones) and know that they work it is possible that your browser (the package you are using to view the site) doesn't have the plug-in required to hear the sound.

If you are having problems with the pdf files then it maybe that you do not have the acrobat reader plug-in.
